Croydon Minster are doing another collection of clothes for Syria. The appeal is collecting good quality, washed and cleaned clothes, by 20 May, to be shipped out to Syria. In addition to clothes, money is also being collected for transportation costs (around £5 is needed per large bag of clothes).
The attached letter gives more information on what sorts of clothes and other items are needed, as well as details of how to donate online. There was a great response from Whitgift last year and we are hoping for an even better response this time.
Whitgift’s Reverend Alan Bayes will be offering temporary storage for donated clothes and other items, in his office. For those donating money, this can either be doing online or given to Reverend Bayes, in an envelope labelled ‘Samara’s Appeal’.
Many thanks to all those helping this appeal.
