On Wednesday 30 November, 2011 Whitgift hosted a dinner in celebration of sporting achievement. As last year’s event was cancelled due to snow this year’s dinner was long overdue. Furthermore, the Sports Department and pupils have had an outstanding record of achievement that stretches back over years and includes:
• 51 national titles in the past two years
• 80 national titles in the past five years
• 40 boys have represented England, Wales, The Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Romania or Italy in 8 different sports between 2007 and 2011

Guests enjoyed a video of Whitgift sporting highlights as well as a question and answer session, conducted by Mr Simon Beck, with Elliot Daly, Lawrence Okoye and Matthew Spriegel where they gave the audience an insight into their respective sporting careers.
