We are delighted to announce that author Andrew Hammond has accepted an invitation from the Librarians to visit the School on Friday 4th May. He is a prolific educational author and has written over thirty titles for several major publishers. He has also contributed articles to the Times Educational Supplement and other educational periodicals.

The Gallows Curse is Andrew’s first foray into the world of fiction. It is the first of five books in his new CRYPT series of horror/thriller stories for young adults, published by Headline. The sequel, Traitor’s Revenge, came out in March 2012.

Click here to visit the CRYPT website and find out more about his exciting new series.

If any pupil wishes to purchase his latest titles from the CRYPT series, Traitors Revenge and The Gallows Curse, we will need to know in advance of his visit so that the correct number of books may be ordered. The books are being sold at £6.99 but will be offered to our students at a discount price of £5.50 each. Andrew has very kindly offered to sign each book if requested.

Cheques (made payable to Whitgift School) or (the correct) cash should be put in an envelope with your son’s name and form on it and handed to a Librarian no later than Monday 30th April.

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs A. Afghan, Head Librarian, 020 8633 9927.
