Academic: French Bilingual Trip to Toulouse, 2011
Updated: Wed 23 Jan 2013
At the end of the Michaelmas Term, the boys in the French Bilingual Programme (U3rd, L5th, U5th) embarked on a trip to Toulouse, one of France’s liveliest and fastest-growing cities. The group of 42 students enjoyed taking part in a wide range of activities in the heart of the city, including talking to locals in the food market about traditional food and customs, and discovering the history of the city with its Roman heritage.
A tour of Rugby Union Club ground, Stade Toulousain, gave the boys an unexpected chance to watch the professional team in training and meet the players as well as manager Guy Novès.
The boys also managed to visit the nearby fortified town of Carcassonne, a medieval stronghold rich in history and with beautiful panoramas.
The trip was greatly enjoyed by all.
