For the first time Whitgift is taking part in BBC News School Report, a scheme designed to give pupils the skills and experience to report the news that interests them. This is the pupils' own journalism, as they work to a real deadline, and broadcast to a real audience at 2pm on 21 March, 2013.

In the days leading up to the event, two of our club reporters already scooped an interview with Prime Minister David Cameron and Lord Sebastian Coe when they attended the press event to mark the government's new school sport strategy.
