26 pupils, ranging from Upper First to Upper Fifth Form, enjoyed a sports trip to Mallorca during the half term, which included road cycling, open water swimming, running and gym sessions.
Each day, all the boys got up for a 6am morning run and then split into groups for their day’s activities. The most experienced group of boys were training for up to six hours a day. For many of the boys, the highlight was cycling in such a picturesque setting; Mallorca boasts some of the best roads in the world for cycling, with many professional teams going there to train, including Team Sky. Open water swimming was also a first for many, the Puerto Pollensa bay being a rather different experience to the swimming lanes in Whitgift’s pool!
