A great opportunity to enhance your own knowledge and understanding of Art!

In Junior Art Club, boys will have the opportunity to produce work based on two themes: still life and machinery. Investigation and experimentation into an array of different mediums and processes, such as photography and painting, is encouraged.

Michaelmas Term

The focus is on producing a painting from observation of still life.

Working from observation will help development and accurate depiction of form, light and shadow.

These sessions will also help to build confidence for the subject as a whole.

Lent Term

The focus switches to creating a mixed media collage piece based on machinery. Many effects can be achieved by using mixed media and collage. Found objects can be used in conjunction with traditional artist media, such as paints and pencil. For this scheme of work students will work in a creative and flexible manner and will produce an A3 size final outcome.
