  • ICT is used in teaching and learning across the curriculum
  • 7 computer rooms provide ICT facilities for all year groups
  • Modern Foreign Languages, Design Technology and Art have dedicated suites of computers
  • The Science Department has 3 class sets of laptop computers which provide flexible access via the wireless network
  • Other departments have sets of computers for specific subject use
  • Pupils have access to the School network where they can use resources and store their work
  • Teaching is supported by over 70 fixed data projectors and several interactive whiteboards
  • There is a central resource of digital cameras, data projectors and Bluetooth tablets
  • 2 computer rooms are open for boys' use at lunchtime and after school
  • There is a wide range of software available covering accountancy, multimedia, foreign language vocabulary testing, graphics and web page design
  • Filtered internet access is available to all
  • The Whitgift Gateway provides easy home-school connection and is being developed by the School as an integral part of subject teaching
  • The School is developing a Virtual Learning Environment using "It's Learning"

  • The wireless network gives staff access to the School network, the internet and SIMS which provides registration, mark book, assessment and report writing facilities
