Facilities: Performing Arts Centre

Work began last year to create a new Performing Arts Centre at Whitgift, which will be one of the finest of any school in the country when completed in 2012. The former swimming pool has been converted to provide a wonderful new theatre and exhibition space. The squash court buildings are also to be transformed into media rooms and studios and will link the Performing Arts Centre through to the Music Department.

Whitgift already possesses, in the Sports and Conference Centre, one of the largest concert halls in London, with a capacity of more than 1600, together with a fine smaller Concert Hall seating 350.
