School years are formative years. At Whitgift School, we are as fully committed to a pupil's personal and social development as we are to his academic progress: we are also concerned with the welfare of all members of the School community. The purpose of the handbook is to inform parents of our aims, policies and procedures in pastoral matters. By so doing, we hope to enhance the partnership between home and school as a pupil is prepared (and increasingly prepares himself as he progresses through the School) for the opportunities and responsibilities of adulthood.
