Pupils, staff and Old Whitgiftians came together on Monday 11 November for the annual Remembrance Day service. Lower School students gathered in respectful silence while Reverend Alan Bayes led a moving service. Lower School Captain, Jake Dennis and School Captain, Zain Peerbhoy delivered thought provoking readings with the Chamber Choir performing a poignant rendition of the anthem ‘For the Fallen’ by Douglas Guest.

The Whitgift Corp of Drums opened and closed the service with members of the CCF performing the role of Flag Party including the tradition of flags at half-mast. Wreaths were laid to honour those who have given their lives in the line of duty by Mr Oliver Roberts on behalf of staff, Mr Richard Blundell on behalf of OWs and Zain Peerbhoy on behalf of students.
