At the end of September, Humanutopia returned to the School to lead a series of workshops to our First Form boys. Humanuotpia create and run life changing courses for young people and adults in schools and the wider community. The workshops challenged the boys to open up and think about other people and their circumstances. First Former Joe Mumford commented, “The workshop encouraged me to be more confident and go the extra mile. I learned about respecting other people’s opinions, the importance of being kind and to just be yourself.”
The boys also performed teambuilding exercises which became more and more challenging and were designed to build confidence, create happiness and help with relationships and future employability. It was evident the boys enjoyed working together and making new friends. Another First Former, Alex Onyeka stated, “What I enjoyed the most was the energy and happiness flooding around the hall.”
Founded in 2004, Humanutopia has worked with over 400 schools and their expert facilitators help young people in a relaxing and fun environment. We would like to thank them for visiting the School again and also to the Year 9 prefects who did an excellent job facilitating and supporting the younger boys on the day.
