In December 2022, The Whitgift School Grounds Team were awarded Independent School Grounds Team of the Year by the Grounds Management Association Industry Awards. 

Guide to Independent Schools 2022

Tatler is a  British Magazine founded in 1901 and their impartial guide to the best independent Schools is published each year. Whitgift is delighted to again be featured in the guide.

Tatler say that Schools "are not just chosen for their league table busting results or their world class facilities (although these are closely looked at) but to go into the Tatler Schools Guide they must offer the whole package – holistic pastoral care, a focus on character education as much as pure academics and the ability to accommodate and nurture all their pupils resulting in well educated, but most importantly, happy children."

In October 2020 - Whitgift was announched as the Independent Boys' School of the Year 2020 by an independent panel of judges at the Independent School Parent Awards.

In November 2020, Whitgift  was awarded the Outstanding Progress – Independent School Award at the Education Business Awards.

 The Education Business Awards, which are now in their 15th year, have established a reputation for showcasing success stories and examples of operational excellence in the UK Education System.

 Whitgift was nominated for this award after half of our IB students achieved 40+ points in the International Baccalaureate, a feat typically achieved by only the top 10% of students worldwide.

Following on from Whitgift's award as Independent Boys' School of the Year 2020, which recognised the academic and co-curricular achievements across school life, the School has been awarded Top School for Sport 2020 for its all-round sporting achievements.

The annual top 200 list compiled by School Sport Magazine is the country’s only national magazine dedicated to celebrating sporting achievement in UK schools. Over 4000 schools are considered for the title each year and the criteria on which this title is awarded is based on performance in 20 different sports and more than 120 different national competitions. In this exceptional year, Whitgift topped the table.

Parent Power 2019

In November 2019 Whitgift was listed in The Sunday Times Parent Power publication after one of the School's most successful year's for results. Congratulations go to the students and staff whose hard work and commitment led to this amazing result.
