Lower First, (Year 6) students learn in a well equipped bespoke Junior Years building, which includes a dedicated Junior Library, Classrooms and Study Rooms.
Students are taught by fully qualified subject teachers and experience an enriching and varied range of academic and co-curricular activities using the full range of specialised facilities at the school.
Student pursue a tailor-made Language Awareness Course which includes elements of Linguistics with a view to them choosing three languages in the First Form (Year 7). They also complete an in-depth Global Citizenship Course which prepares them to think worldly about life beyond Whitgift.
Lower First boys have an extremely caring Pastoral Team, with their own Head of Year and twice daily meetings with their own Form Tutor.
A wide range of Sports, Drama and Music opportunities are offered to students, along with their own Junior Years House programme.
