First Form (Year 7) students learn in a well equipped bespoke Junior Years building, which includes a dedicated Junior Library, Classrooms and Study Room. They also have access to the specialised facilities for Art, DT&E and Science.
Classrooms have interactive Smart Boards which link into personal laptops, as part of the Digital Literacy programme, designed to give students the knowledge and skills to use contemporary methods of learning, as well as traditional ones. The language provision covers three languages, with students choosing one of each from; Romance, Classical and Oriental options.
The Head of Year, and their team in conjunction with the Form Tutor will support students academic, pastoral and co-curricular development. First Form students will have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of co-curricular activities in Sport, Music and Drama, as well as academic enrichment off timetable.
Lower First students have their own Junior Years House programme.
