South Croydon: Whitgift is pleased to announce that this year’s International Baccalaureate (IB) students have achieved an average score of 40 points out of 45. With the return to examinations in addition to coursework, this average reflects the hard work that they have put in and has shown the quality and consistency of outcomes achieved by cohorts in recent years.
Director of International Baccalaureate Dr Emma Mitchell said “Congratulations to all our students on completing the IB Diploma - I am delighted that their hard work has led to a 100% pass rate in this year of global change. I am incredibly proud of the manner in which the Whitgift community pulled together to submit this coursework on schedule, without any drop in academic standards during the School’s transition to online learning.
“This cohort has faced extraordinary academic challenges during their Sixth Form years, which they have tackled with aplomb, and I am proud to have been their Director of IB throughout. We wish all students the very best as they embark on their onward careers.”
