Average of 41.6/45 for 2021 IB Students

Whitgift International Baccalaureate (IB) students received their results and this year have achieved an average of 41.6 points out of 45.

Three students also achieved a perfect score of 45/45, something achieved by only a few students across the globe.

Director of IB, Miss Mitchell commented, “We are delighted for this exceptional cohort, who have worked tremendously hard for these final results. The students rose to the additional challenges of the last two academic years with aplomb, becoming a close-knit friendship unit, achieving outstanding mock exam results and attaining the highest ‘Core points’ (from a combination of Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essays) on record. The 41.5 average is a very welcome reward. Thank you to all the teachers and staff that have so well supported these students during their time at Whitgift. It has been a privilege to teach them and I wish them all the best of luck as they progress to higher education.”

Headmaster, Mr Ramsey added, “This has been a particularly tough year for students, so to have achieved these results is outstanding. IB results, unlike A Level results, were not entirely teacher-assessed this year, and we are incredibly proud of these excellent students.”

In 2020 Whitgift was positioned as a Global Top 10 IB School.
