Danbe (Third Form) had a remarkable chess season in 2023/24, receiving multiple prestigious awards from the Surrey County Chess Association.
Among the accolades, Danbe was awarded the Best Game Prize (County Matches Section), recognising his exceptional play in county matches. He also secured the Frank Parr Memorial Prize, a significant honour awarded for the best game across all Surrey County sections in over-the-board play.
Adding to these achievements, Danbe earned the Michess Memorial Trophy for being the highest-placed Surrey junior in the Open Section of the Guildford Fide Congress 2024.
Danbe commented "This is a huge motivation which keeps me going and encourages me to improve even more. Chess is really amazing, I hope more people will join!"
