South Croydon – Whitgift, a leading UK independent school for boys aged 10 to 18, today announced the launch of a new partnership with Symbiquest Education and Riba, operator of Suchitra Academy, as part of a multi-school deal in India. The initial day school is to be located in Hyderabad and will offer the International Baccalaureate curriculum to students from India and around the world.

Our new partnership will see Whitgift in India and will most certainly result in reciprocal benefits for both students in the UK and India as well as some wonderful opportunities for staff skill transfer and collaboration.”

The new school will offer a full range of academic subjects within the International Baccalaureate framework and Whitgift will provide quality assurance to the project; the leading UK independent school will act as a curriculum advisor alongside supporting with school systems and processes, and providing guidance on extracurricular activities.

The school will also have a strong focus on global citizenship, and the opportunity to learn about different cultures and study languages – something of immense importance in our increasingly interconnected world.”

The new school in India is expected to open by August 2025.
