Thursday 17 October 2024 marked the latest Business Breakfast themed around careers in law. The event saw a dynamic group of 15 professionals including solicitors and law partners, speak with students over a freshly prepared breakfast.
The guest speaker, Alex Forzani (Old Whitgiftian) from 4 New Square—a prestigious set of chambers in London—delivered a short keynote address. He is renowned for his expertise in commercial disputes, particularly those related to banking and financial services, as well as public law cases.
The breakfast served as an invaluable platform for students considering a career in law or pursuing a Law Conversion Programme to chat with professionals and to get advice. Attendees included Fifth Form, Lower Sixth, and Upper Sixth students, some of whom are already applying to study law, while others are contemplating future options.
These termly Business Breakfasts provide a unique opportunity for students to connect with Old Whitgiftian professionals at various stages of their careers, enriching their understanding of the legal profession and the pathways available to them.
