U13s Rugby Enjoy Tour to Dubai

U13s Rugby Enjoy Tour to Dubai

Whitgift’s U13 Rugby players returned from their February tour to Dubai full of enthusiasm, new skills, and unforgettable memories after a packed week of sport, culture, and teambuilding.

The group began their tour with a training session at the world‑renowned Sevens stadium, known for hosting the Dubai International 7s as part of the HSBC 7s circuit. Over the following days, the boys enjoyed a varied programme, including a volleyball competition on Kite Beach and a thrilling 4x4 desert safari. They also visited the Dubai Creek and Souks for the boy’s first experience of haggling (with varying degrees of success!).

The squad faced strong opposition in fixtures against Dubai College and later PinnaKle Rugby Academy. They secured an impressive 43-5 win in their second set of matches, showcasing excellent off-loading and counter-attacking play, while both squads demonstrated determination and progress throughout.

The tour finished off with a hugely popular day at Wild Wadi Waterpark, a team meal at Dubai Mall, and relaxation at JBR Beach - complete with a stop at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, much to the boys’ excitement.

Throughout the tour, the squad represented Whitgift incredibly well and were a credit to the School and their parents on and off the field. Sincere thanks go to the coaches and staff for their dedication in making the trip possible.
