Whitgift Community Gathers to Honour the Fallen

On the 11th day of the 11th month, the Whitgift community gathered in solemn reflection for the School’s annual Remembrance Service, led by Reverend Father Michael Walcott. 

Staff, pupils, cadets, members of the Chamber Choir, and invited guests united to honour the courage and sacrifice of all who served our country, remembering those who gave their lives in times of conflict.  

Following the two-minute silence, wreaths were laid at the foot of the war memorial. Readings were delivered by Zac (Lower School Captain) and Tom (School Captain) including Forever Pure Forever Young written by Zayn (Third Form) and Break of Day in the Trenches. As the service drew to a close, The Chamber Choir sang a moving rendition of So They Gave Their Bodies. 

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
