Whitgift For All and the Kalkhoven Foundation Partnership

Whitgift are delighted to announce that the Kalkhoven Foundation has partnered with Whitgift For All to fund a full bursary at Whitgift from September 2026 for a deserving local student. The Kalkhoven Foundation was set up in memory of Kevin Kalkhoven (OW 1955-1962), who was a philanthropist, investor and motorsport team owner, notably winning the 2013 Indianapolis 500 race with his team KV Racing Technology. Kevin received financial support to attend Whitgift, and was committed to providing opportunities for others to receive this opportunity. His family have helped to make his vision a reality through the foundation, and hope to provide other opportunities for deserving students in the future.

Headmaster, Toby Seth, said 'We are hugely grateful to Kevin's family and the supporters of the Kalkhoven Foundation for their support of Whitgift For All through the gift of education that they are giving to one of our students. Being able to offer means-tested bursaries for families and boys from low-income backgrounds is fundamental to our work here at Whitgift, where we have also so generously supported by the John Whitgift Foundation for many years. We are thankful that Kevin's family, along with our other supporters, are also stepping forward to provide opportunities for future generations of Whitgiftians who would otherwise not be able to take advantage of the fantastic opportunities on offer here.'

Kimm Kalkhoven, widow of Kevin, said 'The Kalkhoven Foundation is honored to support the wonderful students, faculty and staff of this outstanding institution, working alongside Whitgift to develop the next generation of innovators.'
