Education at Whitgift goes beyond academic learning and co-curricular opportunity, and John Whitgift Foundation has held a strong ethos of giving back to the local community. While the School remained closed during lockdown, there were still many efforts to support the community in several ways, including supplying vans and drivers for the Croydon Volunteer Action Food Banks and creating visors as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontline NHS staff.
The newsletter includes articles which have been written by students and staff, including the launch of our Primary Maths videos, gifts for NHS Staff at Croydon University Hospital and our online Charity Concert. Many students have given time to volunteer or organise fundraising events in their local areas. Well done to everyone for their great efforts and we look forward to us all coming together and being a part of further initiatives to help our local community and beyond.
