Whitgift’s U14 Rugby team secured a thrilling victory at the School Sport Magazine National School U14 Finals this Wednesday at Lord Wandsworth College in Hampshire.
Facing a strong St Peter’s School, York side in the final, Whitgift led 15-7 at half time after a determined first-half performance. St Peter’s returned strongly in the second half, narrowing the score to 15-14 with less than a minute to go. In a nail-biting finish, Whitgift’s resolute defence held firm to secure the win and claim the National title.
