The annual Whitgift Careers Convention took place on Tuesday 15 November 2022 with approximately 400 Fifth Form and Lower Sixth Form students in attendance.
Advisers from a wide range of vocations came to Whitgift to share their experiences and expertise with the students, give practical, impartial advice and answer any questions. Students benefited from twenty talks from a variety of companies including Amazon, Sony, and Morgan Stanley covering a range of careers including Law, Finance, Medicine, Technology, Science, Sports and the Arts & Media.
82 advisers attended, including Old Whitgiftians and parents, with one adviser commenting, “[they were] the most levelheaded set of boys I have met during my time as an advisor. Good questions and clear interest in the business area I represented.” Another adviser explained, “The boys are such a credit to the school. Each one I spoke to was so polite, engaged and a pleasure to speak to. I would happily have any of them as a work colleague!”
The School would like to thank all the advisers for giving up their time to help support students during this annual event.
