Meet the Team
They say it takes a village to raise a child.
With a diverse staff drawn from all parts of the School, the Founder’s House Team ensures that our boarders approach their time at Whitgift with the right effort, attitude, and perspective.
The Housemasters
Led by Senior Housemaster, the Housemaster Team is responsible for the day-to-day running of Founder’s House. They are also tasked with shaping and improving the boarding experience at Whitgift, and are the main point of contact for our boarders’ families.
The House Team
At the heart of our pastoral care is the work of a dedicated team of staff who are trained to support our boarders’ needs. The ‘Household Team' consists of a Matron, two Assistant Matrons, and two Boarding Assistants.
Their varied responsibilities include arranging transport for boarders, teaching them to do laundry, leading House activities, and much more.
The Tutors
All boarders will be allocated a House Tutor upon arrival in Founder’s House. Through one-to-one meetings and ‘family’ gatherings, tutors help boarders settle in, find and define their path, and hold themselves accountable for their Whitgift journey.
