Outcomes

Boys at Whitgift are challenged to go beyond their potential.
With structured evenings that provide ample time for academic and co-curricular activities, together with dedicated teams in the House and in school to support boarders on their Whitgift journey and advise them on post-Whitgift options, boarders are 'over-represented' in leadership positions at school and consistently out-perform their day-school peers in public examinations.
Academic Journey
It may take time for boys from different countries, cultures, and schooling systems to get used to the high-achieving atmosphere at Whitgift School. Time is allocated specifically for independent study during the evening, and tutors are on hand each night to assist with academic work and ensure that a productive environment is set. The school also houses well-staffed language and learning support departments which run workshops and offer one-to-one help before, during, and after school hours.

Educating the Whole Child
Through an innovative, school-wide Ideatum curriculum, a robust SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural) development plan for each year group, and quality face time (from formal assemblies to informal interactions) with the Boarding Team, boarders in Founder's House are encouraged to explore, engage, and apply their full effort to their daily commitments and the paths they have chosen.
Over the years, the House has produced world-class athletes, musicians, and more, but we are most proud of the quality of character that boarders exhibit as they move through the school and into the world.
Upon Graduation
A dedicated Student Futures Team helps our boarders plot and navigate their path post-Whitgift. Click on the tabs below to learn more about our graduates and their achievements.

"Our son has absolutely thrived under the boarding team’s care. I cannot believe it, his grades have gone up and he is so much more engaged, happy and interested in subjects. I can only think this is down to him being at school and having more prep time as well as independence. Thank you so much for helping bring about that change."

"I was apprehensive about my son being a boarder anywhere at all. It was not what we had looked for in any school. To not see him every day, not share in his joys and triumphs and help deal with the disappointments and frictions as they arose. But I have learnt to trust you with the welfare of my son and from the tidbits my son has fed back over the years I was right to do so. Truly, thank you Founder's House team.
