Laurence Wyles - Fourth Former
"The sessions are fun, interesting and practical so I always look forward to going back to it next week.
Laurence participates in the Cops of Drums section and Army section within the Combined Cadet Force (CCF). He relishes the diverse opportunities provided by the CCF, particularly enjoying range days and camps, with summer and September camps being highlights.
Through the CCF, Laurence has developed skills in marksmanship, navigation, and leadership, notably applied during the Duke of Edinburgh's Award activities.
While acknowledging the time commitment required, Laurence finds it worthwhile, crediting the engaging and practical sessions facilitated by peers and teachers for helping him overcome challenges.
Reflecting on his CCF journey, Laurence emphasises the invaluable life skills gained, such as leadership, first aid, and personal administration, contributing to his holistic education.
