Royal Navy Section

The Navy section is the smallest component of the CCF, comprised of approximately 30 cadets from the Third Form to Upper Sixth Form. Despite its size, it holds a prestigious affiliation with HMS Queen Elizabeth, the flagship of the Royal Navy and one of the UK’s foremost aircraft carriers. Cadets benefit from immersive visits and tours of the ship in Portsmouth, honing their nautical skills and naval knowledge.

In addition to water sports and afloat training in Portsmouth, cadets participate in distinctive activities such as guiding a miniature naval field gun through a course, evoking the spirit of historic Royal Tournament events and encouraging spirited competition.

Furthermore, cadets have access to a diverse array of nationally recognised courses, enabling them to attain qualifications in disciplines such as powerboating, sailing, lifeguarding, and more.
