Trips & Events
The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) organises a variety of trips and camps throughout the academic year. These include multiple range days, field training exercises, and the Annual Central CCF Camp. Additionally, students are invited to partake in various school events held throughout the year, such as the Remembrance Service, Autumn Collection Concert, and the Annual General Inspection (AGI).

Range Day's
Range days occur during the week and provide cadets with the opportunity to utilise the cadet rifle on an outdoor range in order to fulfil their Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) shooting qualification.
Army v Navy Rugby Match
Whitgift's cadets have the opportunity to carry out and unveil the Army Flag before the Army v Navy Rugby Match, hosted at Twickenham.
Annual Army Central CCF Camp
Cadets get to run through an excellent programme of military and adventurous training activities run by regular serving members of the cadet training team. Additionally, students have the chance to collaborate with and compete against other schools in various competitions.
Remembrance Service
The annual remembrance service involves members of Whitgift's CCF performing the duty of Flag Party, including the tradition of lowering the flags to half-mast.
Navigation weekend
This is an opportunity for cadets to take part in a number of adventurous activities to test their navigation and orienteering skills that count towards their APC qualification.
Annual General Inspection (AGI)
The AGI involves a visiting officer inspecting and observing the different activities the cadets have been involved in over the course of the year. The events include a formal parade and inspection of the guard of honour, a demonstration of a blank firing platoon attack as well as the Corps of Drums 'Beating retreat'. In the evening, the offers and senior cadet NCO's (non-commissioned officer) hold their annual dinner night to award trophies of achievement and thank the departing Upper Sixth Form and staff for their efforts.
