Musical Theatre is also an important part of Whitgift’s production history, and of our future ambitions. The Whitgift Dramatic Society was founded on productions of Gilbert and Sullivan, and Operas such an Onegin and Candide. We continue this tradition with acclaimed recent stagings of Hairspray, Guys & Dolls and Sweeny Todd. We cherish the particular collaboration that Musical Theatre brings between the Music and Drama departments, and the excitement around the school as an eagerly anticipated musical approaches.
