Golf

Our aim for Golf at Whitgift is to foster a love for the game and provide opportunities for students to develop their passion for the sport.

Uniquely, every pupil who joins Whitgift in the First Form receives eight golf lessons delivered by our PGA Professional, Tim Trodd. These lessons are supplemented by practice sessions every lunchtime at the School’s onsite golf facility. The lunchtime sessions are open to anyone in the School and students can also access further lessons from Tim Trodd on an individual and group basis.

Students represent the school at U13, U15 and U18 age groups; the School regularly competes at National level but also offers match opportunities to students once they have obtained a handicap enabling a wide base of participation.

Whitgift is extremely fortunate to have strong partnerships with the Addington Golf Club and Croham Hurst Golf Club, which prove good tests for golfers of all abilities.
