Supporting Charities

Supporting local and International charities is an important part of the outreach work at Whitgift. It helps to raise awareness amongst both students and staff, and funds raised assist some of the most vulnerable people in society.

The work at Whitgift is co-ordinated by the Charities Committee, chaired this year by Daniel (Upper Sixth Form) with members mainly drawn from the Sixth Form. Raising funds involves students running events, liaising with and promoting charities. Last year, several successful events were accomplished in partnership with members of the Parents' Association including a quiz night and concert involving musicians from across the Sixth Form.

All the charities supported by the School are chosen by the Charities Committee and are based on recommendations received from pupils and staff.
