Sports Partnerships
ACE Programme
We were delighted to host the ACE scholars for their first residential training camp in Summer 2021, and subsequently ACE students have been using our Sports Hall at evenings and weekends.
The ACE Programme was launched by Surrey County Cricket Club in January 2020 in response to the 75% decline in black British professional players, who also represent less than 1% of the recreational game, to engage young people of African and Caribbean heritage.
Our very own Mr Jackson (Cricket Academy Head Coach) is actively involved in the ACE Programme and recently won this award for his community work. Please see the news article here.

MCC Foundation
Whitgift is the Croydon Area partner for the MCC HUB, a national charity which uses cricket to empower young people to reach their full potential, aiming to unite and inspire communities, and to promote physical and mental well-being. Whitgift host three sessions a week for the MCC Foundation during the Lent Term.
The MCC Foundation is elated to be working in partnership with Whitgift School. The School very kindly offers support in terms of free facility hire so the MCCF Croydon Hub can run a structured 10-week coaching programme for children aged 11-15 years. The School opens its doors every Sunday so talented state educated children can receive free coaching to develop their cricketing skills, confidence and teamwork. The Croydon Hub supports 48 young people from the Croydon area including 18 talented girls. The location of Whitgift School is essential to support players from the Surrey area as well as strategic engagement with the Refugee Council who offer Afghan refugees the opportunity to access the free-to-attend Hub sessions.
