Recognising Your Support

Whitgift For All is looking for a step-change in its financial relationship with its alumni. Like many independent schools and university colleges we are looking for substantial sums to make the difference that we aspire to.

All donors will be listed in our Annual Donors' List to thank them for their support, unless they wish to remain anonymous.

1596 Society

Named for the year of the founding of the School, this is a way to recognise donors who make a donation of £1,596 or more in a
one-year period. Donors in the 1596 Society will be invited, with a guest, to a special donors’ garden party in School each year to hear updates and in particular hear about the impact their generosity has had upon our students. In addition, those who qualify for the 1596 Society will be recognised in a special section of the annual List of Donors.

John Whitgift Benefactors

Named after the School’s founder, this is a society to recognise donors who make a significant donation of £15,960. Our John Whitgift Benefactors will be listed on our Benefactors Board in School and will be invited to attend an annual lunch with the Headmaster, as well as our annual donors’ garden party for 1596 Society members and John Whitgift Benefactors.

Founder's Circle

The foresight shown by legacy donors has been transformative for Whitgift and without a legacy, the School could not have come into being in the first place. Today we remember and celebrate benefactors of the past, but we are also focused on Whitgift’s future. If you do include the School in your Will, please let us know. Any information you give us will be treated in strict confidence and does not involve you in any binding commitment.

We will recognise your generosity by inviting you to membership of the Founder’s Circle. The Circle is exclusively for legacy donors, who receive an annual invitation from the Headmaster to attend a special lunch. Members are also listed in the Annual List of Donors unless they prefer to remain anonymous.
