Indian International School Partnership

Whitgift has recently launched a new partnership with Symbiquest Education, as part of a multi-school collaboration in India.

Consistent with the international aspirations of Whitgift School and the UK and Indian governments shared commitment to enhanced partnerships in education, Whitgift is working with a well-regarded school operator in India to support the opening of a new international school in West Hyderabad.

The partnership will provide excellent opportunities for Whitgift pupils to benefit from collaborative projects and exchanges, leading to mutual learning opportunities for both organisations and continued development of the school’s global citizenship priorities. With further schools in India expected to follow, this partnership also provides a great benefit to Whitgift’s UK bursary programme through its significant contribution to Whitgift For All.

About SageBrook Academy

SageBrook Academy, opening by July 2026, will be co-branded IB and British curriculum K-12 school with a capacity for 2,500 students. It is to be located in the west of Hyderabad close to new residential and commercial developments focused around the IT sector.

Our Indian Partner

Whitgift’s Indian partner, Symbiquest, operates Suchitra Academy, one of the leading educational institutes in Hyderabad. The school, founded in 2011, offers both local and international curriculum for students from nursery to year 12. It is spread over a sizable green campus with over 2,000 children currently enrolled. Suchitra Academy is well-known for its sports provision and is used by top athletes to train such as PV Sindhu (Badminton World Champion) and Nikhat Zareen (Boxing World Champion). It has been featured in Fortune Magazine’s Future50 schools and Forbes magazine’s Great Indian Schools, and was ranked 1st in India in the ‘Multi-Sport’ Category by Education World magazine.

The school is a family-owned venture founded and led by Mr Praveen Raju, the Director and the Vice Chairman of the Suchitra Group and Senior Partner at Symbiquest. Praveen was the Executive Director of Indus International School, Hyderabad, and the Founder Chairman of Indus Early Years, both among the top schools of India in their categories. He is also the Co-Chairman of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Alliance for Re-Imagining School Education (FICCI ARISE).

As with Whitgift in the UK, students will have the opportunity to achieve beyond what they thought possible academically and participate in a wide range of high quality co-curricular activities such as: sports, music, drama, and other clubs and societies. The school will also have a strong focus on global citizenship, and the opportunity to learn about different cultures and study languages – something of immense importance in our increasingly interconnected world.
