Whitgift enters into an educational partnership with the Mobius Foundation.
World Environment School
Whitgift is currently working with the Mobius Foundation - a non-profit-making organisation that promotes environmental sustainability - as the lead educational partner in the establishment of what is expected to become India’s leading ‘green school’.
It is planned to open in 2025 and will be a co-educational boarding school for up to 540 students aged between 11 to 18 years.
This international school will offer IGCSEs and the IB programme alongside a bespoke environmental education and sustainability curriculum. It aims to educate young environmental advocates and empowered future leaders.
This opportunity is aligned to Whitgift’s vision for global reach, cultural diversity, environmental awareness, social responsibility and curriculum innovation. It is hoped that this project will provide many opportunities for staff and pupil development through exchanges, projects and other mutually beneficial links.
Our involvement in the formation of the first World Environmental School is an incredibly exciting and important prospect. Through our partnership with the Mobius Foundation in India, we're hoping that there will be great educational benefits for our respective schools through a sharing of best practice, the establishment of future global exchange programmes, and the opportunity to develop a curriculum with future environmental sustainability at its heart.

It is very fortunate that the Mobius Foundation has found a partner in Whitgift for setting up the World Environment School in India. Whitgift is an institution with the tradition and reputation for excellence in academics and co-curricular. This will put the new school in a class of its own.
