An Evening with General Sir Peter Wall

We are thrilled to announce a special event for the Lent Term – ‘An Evening with General Sir Peter Wall’. OWs are invited to join Sir Peter from 5.30pm on Friday 21 March 2025 for a drinks reception in Big School followed by his talk  entitled 'Geopolitics in a fast moving world: is the global order crumbling?' at 6pm.

Sir Peter, an Old Whitgiftian, retired as Chief of the British Army in 2015 following a full and active career. He has extensive experience in dealing with British and foreign governments at the highest levels and a proven track record in the strategic leadership of large and complex organisations. He is a recognised speaker on geopolitics and military command techniques in business.

His many other activities include being on the First World War Centenary Culture Committee, and Governor of The Royal Shakespeare Company.  Sir Peter is also a Director of the General Dynamics Corporation and President of Combat Stress, the UK military mental health charity.

This event has limited capacity, and we anticipate high demand, so please book early to avoid disappointment.  Book tickets here.

Tickets are £25 each.  Proceeds will support the Whitgift For All bursary fund and £5 per ticket will be donated to Sir Peter’s project  - Kojak Children’s School in Nepal.

To ensure you receive all invitations to future Whitgift events, please email alumni@whitgift.co.uk to ensure you have opted-in to email communications.
