This year, our annual brass concert 'Strictly Come Brassing' has been adapted slightly to an outdoor event: Brasstonbury 2021. Parents of the School's fantastic brass players are invited to attend and hear performances from various year group ensembles, staff, massed brass, Whitgift Ten, and solo performances from the winners in each of the four categories of this year's 'Solo Brass Performance'.
The programme will include the James Bond Theme, Soul Bosa Nova, Thunderbirds, Summer Nights, Don't Stop Me Now and the opportunity to end the evening with audience participation, in a rendition of Land of Hope and Glory!
During the event, the finalists of the Brass Competition, which was adjudicated by the Brass Department instrumental teachers, will receive a medal and winners will be awarded a cup on stage.
