Hello everyone! My name is Vanessa and I will be one of the teachers helping you to improve your English during the summer at Whitgift.
My experiences teaching English as a foreign language
In normal day life you'll find me teaching a wide range of students, from the very young 3-year-olds to the not so young 70-year-olds. As well as teaching students in London from all around the word, I have been incredibly lucky to travel and teach in many schools overseas including; Italy, Spain and Japan. I really love teaching English as a foreign language as it allows me to communicate, connect and learn about the interesting experiences, customs and lives of all kinds of people.
Helping my students increase their confidence with the English language
You will hear me say the phrase "tell me something" quite a lot, so be prepared to tell me everything about yourselves and your wonderful home countries! In addition, I absolutely love the fact that teaching enables me to give my students the confidence to try everything they want in terms of their English language skills, without letting that dreaded fear of making a mistake hinder them.

Something interesting about me...
An interesting fact about myself is that I have worked in Disney World where I got to create loads of magical moments for many children; including a young American girl who was convinced there were no roads in England, so we all just flew everywhere with the giant wings on our backs.
