So many of the elements which make our programme so popular will still be here when you arrive in Summer 2026, but we’re not stopping there and are thrilled to announce two new additions to our programme!

Skills in Academic English – English for Academic Purposes
First, our new English programme for those of you with the very best English: Skills in Academic English is designed for students aged 14-17 with a strong command of English (C1-C2) aiming for higher Education in English. Over a minimum two-week stay, learners refine academic writing and source use, while developing listening and note-taking skills through authentic lectures. Seminar style discussions will encourage critical thinking and confident communication. The course emphasises fluency, accuracy, and academic conventions. What sets it apart is the immersive Whitgift environment, where international students collaborate with Student Ambassadors, enhancing real world communication and cultural exchange, preparing them for success in English-speaking academic institutions.

Digital Champions – AI and beyond...
Next, a programme for those wanting to experiment with, and reflect on new technology: Digital Champions, aimed at students aged 14-17 with a minimum B2 level, is a three-week course designed by Whitgift’s Head of Digital Learning for students eager to explore AI, ethics, coding, and critical thinking. Taught by expert Whitgift staff, each week focuses on a distinct theme, blending hands-on tech skills with thoughtful reflection. Students experiment with AI tools, build chatbots, and design future schools, while developing digital literacy, debating skills, and academic language. In a time when many schools shy away from emerging tech, Whitgift empowers students to engage safely and ethically. The course fosters creativity, collaboration, and confidence, preparing learners for a digitally fluent future.
We also have our classic Intensive General English for students aged 11-17 for students who want to improve their English through dynamic, student cantered and communicative lessons. Finally, for students who already have a high level of English, we have our Academic Enrichment course (11-13), which looks at English Literature, Maths and Science, ideal for students transitioning to an International school or boarding school in the near future.

These courses, combined with our fantastic Progressive Skills in Action project classes, afternoon academies and activities, evening activities and twice weekly excursions, all set in the backdrop of a South London school with acres of green space, modern facilities, and a brilliant team of staff to facilitate.
