Whitgift Foundation Bursaries for Day Students
Parents of prospective day students, whose family income is less than approximately £90,000 a year, (exact figures are available directly from the Whitgift Foundation), may apply for a bursary (an income-related fee reduction). There is a generous, but limited, annual budget for bursaries for those who qualify in terms of their income and residency.
Bursaries are awarded on the basis of performance in the Entrance Examination, assessment(s) and interview. Unfortunately, not all families who are eligible for a bursary will be offered one.
The Whitgift Foundation calculates the bursary value, and this amount can cover almost the entirety of the full fees.
To enable a larger number of families to assess the bursary scheme, some bursaries offered may be of a lesser amount than the Foundation’s assessment. This will be decided at the Headmaster’s discretion.
Further information regarding bursaries and Bursary Application Forms for 2020 entry will be available here shortly.
If you are applying for a bursary, please ensure you select the ‘bursary box’ on the online Whitgift Application Form, which will be available mid-August 2019.
Completed Bursary Application Forms, together with all of the relevant documents, will need to be posted or delivered directly to: The Whitgift Foundation, North End, Croydon, Surrey, CR9 1SS, by 22 November 2019 or by 7 November if you are applying for a Sixth Form place.
