Accommodation
Founder’s House enjoys modern amenities, with each room equipped with an ensuite bathroom, bed, desk, and accompanying furniture, offering residents ample space and comfort. Communal areas include two studio kitchens on each floor, a reception area, a games room, a common room, and two quiet rooms for private study, or personal reflection.
Students typically share rooms with one or two of their peers, with Upper Sixth Form boarders benefitting from a single room. Personalisation of rooms with home comforts, including pictures, posters, and bedding is encouraged.
Situated within the School grounds, Founder’s House residents enjoy convenient daily access to all facilities, including those for Art, Music, Drama, and Sport, enriching their overall experience.

FOUNDER'S HOUSE
Constructed in 2013, Founder's House is conveniently located onsite, just a few yards from the front of the School, providing easy access for its residents.
RECEPTION AREA
An inviting reception area provides easy access to Founder's House Administration team and Matrons for both visitors and residents.
COMMON ROOM
Spacious communal area equipped with Pool Table, Table Tennis, and Table Football, perfect for unwinding and socialising.
KITCHEN AREA
Bright kitchen and dining space, providing boarders with the opportunity to prepare and enjoy snacks while relaxing with other residents.
BEDROOM
Spacious bedroom, with 2 beds, including designated workspace areas and ensuite bathroom, ideal for comfort and convenience.
ENSUITE BATHROOM
Ensuite bathroom with shower in every room.
Indoor Facilities
SPORTS HALL
A state-of-the-art sports centre with movable walls, seven badminton courts, six indoor cricket lanes with full run-ups and a variety of bowling machines, a full basketball court with an electronic scoreboard. There is a seating capacity for an audience of up to 2,000 thus enabling a series of whole-school events to take place, and also hosts the National Indoor Hockey competitions.
SWIMMING POOL
A 25m, 8 lane swimming pool with a variable-depth, and performance screen. Swimmers have 14 hours of training per week available to them before and after school and students can also participate in up to five hours of Water Polo training per week.
MARLAR HALLS
The Marlar Halls are a multi-purpose facility which can be split into two functioning rooms for use for a range of sports, which include Fencing , Table Tennis, Judo, and also for function rooms.
FITNESS SUITE (GYM) AND ELITE PERFORMANCE CENTRE
A gym containing aerobic equipment, free weight and fixed weight areas.
CLASSROOMS
There are three classrooms available for use in the Sports Centre.
PHYSIO TREATMENT ROOM
Students can benefit from an onsite physio treatment room which is staffed three days a week.
SQUASH COURTS
Four glass backed Squash Courts with retractable walls for multi-purpose use.
SUBBA ROW ROOM
The Subba Row Room is a conference room located within the Sports Centre. This room is used for 1 to 1 meetings, video analysis, team meetings and A Level presentations.
Whitgift Sports Club
Whitgift Sports Club (Old Whits) is based in South Croydon, offering additional first class sporting facilities available to pupils. Students can benefit from two more cricket squares, two football pitches and two rugby pitches.
