Whitgift's 'Sport for all' philosophy.
All students have the opportunity to play competitive sport, as well as participate in non-competitive recreational activities and adventurous outdoor pursuits. There are over 40 available through the school week and at weekends, each with a structured programme to advance and support high level performance.
Over the last decade, Whitgiftians have won over 300 national titles across a wide range of sporting activities earning the School a reputation for Sporting excellence. This success stems from a culture that wholeheartedly embraces inclusion and participation and the wider value of Sport in a students' overall education, wellbeing and development. This means we are as proud of the achievements of the U12F team as we are of our A Teams and aim to inspire the novice as much as the elite.
Our talented and dedicated coaching teams, with sector leading facilities, create a balanced environment where your son will be challenged to pursue his ambitions, embrace failure with humility and learn resilience, tolerance, and respect. With this approach, our aim is for your son to develop a lifelong love of physical activity, to discover a passion and enjoyment in a sport and build life skills.
