• Two-week minimum stay (Residential only)
• Students aged 11-17
• Levels – A2-C1, students who have had two years of English language lessons
• Sunday 5 July - Sunday 16 August 2026
• 23 hours of English Tuition per week
• 12 max in each class
• Weekly progress reports and end of course report
• British Culture themed topic each week – focusing on language they need for the two weekly excursions on Wednesday and Saturday 
• Afternoon and Evening Activities
• Two excursions per week

This advanced course is tailored for students aged 14–17 who already have a strong command of English and are considering university or academic study in English-speaking environments. With a minimum stay of two weeks, the Skills in Academic English programme offers a focused and practical approach to mastering the core competencies essential for success in higher education.

After completing our booking form, students must prove they have the required Advanced (CEFR C1) level of English to take the course. Candidates can do this by sending us a certificate or recent school report if studying in an international/boarding/bilingual school. Should this not be possible, candidates can take an online test. All candidates will need to take a writing test about their motivation for attending the course.  Should a student not have the required level of English to take this course, we recommend our Intensive General English Course.

Guided by expert Whitgift teachers, students will build a strong foundation for academic success through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and collaborative projects. 

Designed exclusively by Whitgift School, this program also integrates elements of our year-round IGCSE curriculum for international students. This includes Global Citizenship, Ideatum and Ignite, which are all completely unique to Whitgift School. 

Students immerse themselves in an exciting three-week course that revolves around English, Maths, and Science. Guided by our expert Whitgift teachers, you'll dive deep into these subjects, building a strong foundation that will set you on a path to academic success. Engaging lessons, interactive activities, and collaborative projects will make your learning experience both enriching and enjoyable.

Candidates can do this by sending us a certificate or recent school report if studying in an international/boarding/bilingual school. Should this not be possible, candidates can complete an online test. All candidates will need to take a writing test about their motivation for attending the course.  Should a student not have the required level of English to take this course, we recommend our Intensive General English Course.

A course designed and delivered by Whitgift staff for students eager to navigate the digital world. Over three weeks, students will be guided by expert Whitgift teachers, each specialising in a distinct area: AI & Ethics, Computer Science, and Critical Thinking. This immersive experience offers interactive learning with the tools and technology shaping our future, both in and beyond the classroom.
