During the Upper School course (Ages 14-17), teenage students will find an inspiring and engaging learning environment, one that encourages students to take more responsibility for their English language development. Students are supported by our dedicated teachers who will look to develop their skills and confidence in English.

Our Intensive English programme for teenagers is one of the best English language courses in the UK that 14 - 17  year old students can attend.  Classes are small, with a maximum of 12 students, meaning there are lots of opportunities to speak English. At the end of every week, we send parents a detailed report of their son or daughter’s progress, with advice on what the student needs to do in the following week in order to improve. At the end of the course, all students receive an end of course report, which offers more advice for students on how to improve their English when they finish their course at Whitgift.

In the afternoons, students will have lessons with English-speaking boys and girls of the same age from Whitgift School or our Partner School in our project-based course, Progressive Skills in Action.

“I met so many amazing people and friends who I am still in touch with, and my English improved so much. But not only that. My confidence has improved so much, my personality improved in the best way possible.”
