Following the tremendous success of the inaugural event in 2013, the Whitgift International Music Competition has established an international reputation for excellence. Every two years Whitgift welcomes countless talented young musicians, from around the globe, to compete for a wide range of prizes including the possibility of a fully-funded boarding education and solo concerto opportunities with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

With a panel of esteemed adjudicators, and performances from world-renowned soloists including Remus Azotei, Ilian Garnetz and Anita Chen, the competition attracts some of the finest young musicians in the world.

Expanded to include String, Woodwind and Brass categories in 2017, the competition promises once again to be a superb event, taking place between 7-11 April 2019, at Whitgift School, South London. Check out the video below:
