About Us
THE STRUCTURE AND AIMS OF THE WSPA
The Whitgift School Parents Association (WSPA) exists to build a strong sense of community among parents, encourage parental involvement in school life, and raise funds to benefit all students.
Led by a dedicated committee of parent volunteers - including a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Event Organisers, and Year Group Representatives - the WSPA meets at least once a term to plan activities, with the support of school staff.
As a registered charity, the WSPA runs a variety of social events throughout the year. These events not only bring families together but also raise valuable funds for the school and other charities.
Thanks to the success of many events, the WSPA has funded enhancements such as the Medical Emergency Buggy, new benches, a basketball hoop for the junior playground, a Teqball table and contributions to departments including Music, Sport, Drama, Art and Learning Support.
If you'd like to learn more about the WSPA, or are interested in joining our team or volunteering at events, we'd love to hear from you! Please get in touch with us at wspa@whitgift.co.uk

VOLUNTEERS
Raeburn Library Parent Volunteers
Do you have some time to spare? Every Wednesday from 2.15 to 3.45pm a group of parents volunteer in the Raeburn Library, putting books back, organising shelves etc. It is a great way of being involved with the School and seeing the students going about their daily activities. All we ask is that you commit to one afternoon a term (or more if you would like to).
If you are interested, please email Susan Shindler: wspa@whitgift.co.uk.
FUNDRAISING
In recent years, the success of these events have helped fund the purchase of items of benefit to the School. Previously, the WSPA has made contributions towards the purchase of new benches, the basketball hoop in the new playground and contributed to a vinyl timeline mural in the staircase leading up to the Raeburn Library. Previous donations from the WSPA have been made to IT, Music, Sports and other departments.
