About Us
THE STRUCTURE AND AIMS OF THE WSPA
The WSPA aims to foster a sense of community amongst parents through its social events and by facilitating parental involvement in the School, whilst at the same time, raising funds for the benefit of the students. There is a committee of parent volunteers comprising of The Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Event Organisers and Year Group representatives who meet at least once each term to plan and organise activities, with the active support of school staff.
The School's formal relationship with staff and parents is through the WSPA. As a registered charity, the WSPA undertakes activities which contribute to the School. All current staff and parents are automatically members and there is no membership fee.
There are a number of social events each year designed to encourage parents to meet and enjoy one another's company whilst also raising funds for the School.

VOLUNTEERS
Raeburn Library Parent Volunteers
Do you have some time to spare? Every Wednesday from 2.15 to 3.45pm a group of parents volunteer in the Raeburn Library, putting books back, organising shelves etc. It is a great way of being involved with the School and seeing the students going about their daily activities. All we ask is that you commit to one afternoon a term (or more if you would like to).
If you are interested, please email Susan Shindler: wspa@whitgift.co.uk.
FUNDRAISING
In recent years, the success of these events have helped fund the purchase of items of benefit to the School. Previously, the WSPA has made contributions towards the purchase of new benches, the basketball hoop in the new playground and contributed to a vinyl timeline mural in the staircase leading up to the Raeburn Library. Previous donations from the WSPA have been made to IT, Music, Sports and other departments.
